sandstorm

There's a severe sandstorm here in sede boqer today (though the weather people call it "mild westerly winds"). visibility is low, you can just about make out the ridges and valleys in the distance but otherwise it is curiously like a fog enveloped world. Inside any building its hot, we are in the midst of a Khamseen (aka sharav)(heat wave), but the outside world is a swirling dust fest. I left my window open last yesterday when i went to Rehovot for a birthday (Antonio's) party, and consequently there's a nice smooth layer of dust all around the place. Well i guess its a cosmic hint telling me that i need to clean the room.
