rabbit pie day

The ad for tourism in Victoria has an earworm of a song and thereby ensured that it won all those awards. I was curious to know if it was a new, made for TV song or if they had just piggybacked onto an older song. I did some google searches and found the lyrics to the song.
Here's an excerpt.

" Run, rabbit, run, rabbit, run, run, run
Don't give the farmer his fun, fun,fun
He'll get by without his rabbit pie
So run, rabbit, run, rabbit, run, run, run"

Then I looked around some more and found that there's a second verse that appears to be about World War Two. Apparently the song is an old war song. The ad however, is so quirky and nice that it's hard to associate it with war of any sort. However, the second verse, which may have been added on by the British (scroll down for the altered version), goes:

"Run Adolf, Run Adolf, Run, Run, Run,
Don't give the farmer his fun, fun, fun!
He'll get by without his rabbit pie
Run Adolf, Run Adolf, Run, Run, Run"

As a bonus, here's a Real Audio file of the song, with both versions.
